Florida alligators can be taken year round with any weapon and typically they are hunted with a rifle or bow from a swamp buggy or boat. Most of the hunts are on private property, which are well managed for both size and quantity of gators. This is a perfect hunt to bring the family on as you can complete your hunt usually in 1 day and then head over to Disney World and Epcot. The outfitter will take care of your meat and have your hide used for boots, wallets, belts, etc, and then will have them mailed home to you upon completion. 
Most hunters harvest a minimum of 9-10 footers but we have them over 13 feet.
